alleychess

Chess variant that is meant to represent a fight in an alleyway. Pawns move like normal, or can move one sideways. Queens move like western chess queens, but attack like ferzes. Bishops move like a regular bishop, or they can make a two step dabbaba leap. Rooks are like normal. Knights are like normal. You win by getting your king to the enemy side, checkmating the enemy king, or by stalemating them. Checkmating the enemy king represents cornering them, same as stalemating. Getting your king to the enemy side represents getting your king past the opponents pieces and leaving the alleyway. You have a queen to drop, as though the queen's sneaking up on the opponent.
This is a user-catalogued casual variant. Technical details such as board size, FEN, pieces, and hand rules are defined in the Fairy-Stockfish variants.ini block below.
